OWNER / COACH
Description of Business
I am an alternative career coach and business matchmaker who helps people going through career transition consider entrepreneurship and business ownership as a means to fulfill their income, lifestyle, wealth and equity goals. I am a free resource and through complimentary coaching sessions, I help individuals define their goals, recognize their unique skill set, and decide if business ownership should be a consideration for their future.
What or who has been your greatest influence in business and why?
My biggest influences in business were my mother, my sister, and my grandmother. Three generations of women who worked hard, never accepted no or I can’t do that for an answer, and never let anyone put limitations on what they could achieve. I learned a strong work ethic from them and was given a belief that I could do anything if I worked for it and if I wanted to. I hope to instill those same values into my own daughter and both of my sons.
What is the most important lesson you have learned in business that might help others?
The most important lesson I have learned in business is to always be coachable. Ask questions, always clarify, and listen to the advice that comes your way from others who have walked your path. I feel we always have something to learn, and in return a responsibility to also share that information and pay it forward. Business is about relationships, and you have to take the time to listen and communicate to be successful.
